We strive to do business, better

Sustainability

At ASM we seek to build a growing, profitable and responsible company that does the right thing for our stakeholders and future generations.

We strive to do business, better

We actively support the UN Sustainable Development Goals and are specifically focused on the elements where we can take meaningful action given the nature of our business.

Environment

We have committed to:

Achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2039: 11 years ahead of the UN Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 50% by 2025 and 75% by 2030.

Our targets have been independently validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Furthermore, we have pledged to:
  • Engage with all our partners to achieve our reduction targets.
  • Maintain ISO14001 accreditation demonstrating our effective environmental management system.
  • Continue to deliver a transparent and measurable sustainability strategy, owned at Board level, involving all stakeholders.

Recognizing that decarbonizing our complex value chain will be a journey, we have offset 100% of our footprint making us net carbon neutral.

Social

We believe in engaging and investing in our local community.

Supporting Local Charities

Each year we commit to raising money for a charity chosen by our colleagues which delivers a positive social impact on our community.

Supporting Local Events

Funding charity events such as the Krazy Races is crucial because it allows us to support important causes, raise awareness and foster community involvement.

Supporting Local People

ASM Academy is more than just a training centre, it’s a catalyst for personal and professional growth. We understand the unique challenges faced by individuals seeking to enter the tech industry, and we are committed to providing accessible pathways to success. By partnering with local organizations, educational institutions, and aspiring tech enthusiasts, we are actively shaping a brighter future together.

Brighter future together…..

One particular partner we are proud to work with is ‘The Cheshire & Warrington Pledge’. The Pledge Partnership enables businesses to work together with educators to provide every young person living, studying and/or working in Cheshire and Warrington with everything they need to succeed in the world of work. With the opportunity to develop employability-related skills and personal qualities whilst in education, there is a choice of employment, training or further education when they leave school.

Employers work directly with young people, teachers, parents, carers and youth workers to help the local community identify the employment opportunities available.

Supporting a Fair Deal

We believe everyone deserves a wage that reflects the real cost of living.

Supporting Diversity

We embrace the power of diversity. Recognizing that it is not only a driving force behind innovation and creativity, but also a fundamental element that strengthens our organization.

At ASM we are committed to creating a work environment that is inclusive to all. We therefore encourage applications from applicants with a disability and will always offer an interview to an applicant who declares he or she has a disability, if the person meets the minimum criteria for any role advertised. To demonstrate this commitment, we have signed up to ‘Disability Confident’ and have adapted our recruitment processes to meet the five commitments: inclusive and accessible recruitment, communicating vacancies, offering an interview to disabled people, providing reasonable adjustments, and supporting existing employees. We have also pledged to carry out at least one ‘activity’, such as offering disabled people work experience or work trials.
