Introduction
The Renewals specialist will work closely with internal account managers to proactively develop the existing renewals process, creating robust contract management timelines acting as a key contact to the customer for accurate issuing of renewal quotes along with ensuring timely invoicing and data cleansing.
Role and responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and other business functions to support ongoing contract renewals.
- Preparing renewal quotes on behalf of the Sales Team, to a high standard of accuracy.
- Act as the key point of contact for customers/sales department and be able to respond to common questions.
- Proactively produce all expiring renewal contracts 90/60/30 days.
- Drive longer term customer engagement through multi-year deals.
- Augmenting the upsell and cross sell opportunities.
- Work with other departments to be able to resolve customer issues in timely manner.
- Proactively review past contracts with a view to get back into service.
- Create schedules to proactively liaise with customers in relation to their upcoming renewals.
- Liaise with vendors for renewal quotes and negotiating better pricing/terms.
- Qualify any new suppliers as appropriate.
- Place supplier purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Update Business Central with the initial promised delivery date from the supplier.
- Report, present and communicate data to colleagues as and when required.
- Ensure that day-to-day processes of the business are adhered to and remain compliant.
- Undertake additional duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of the IT industry preferably having worked in the IT channel previously.
- Knowledge of professional services and software licensing is essential.
- Good negotiating skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with people at all levels.
- Good customer and vendor management skills.
- Excellent written/oral communication, presentation, documentation, interpersonal skills as well as strong team-orientation.
- Strong organisational skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects.
- Quality-driven in all activities.
- Ability to mentor, lead and motivate more junior staff.
